Repertorium Films also has television series and documentary films in the development lineup, as well as projects that expand into branded entertainment, new media and beyond.
Film
Repertorium Films is currently in preparation for production of their feature film BITTER GRAPES, a suspenseful social drama on which they are collaborating with esteemed, award-winning companies in the USA and Latin America. BITTER GRAPES will be shooting in Mexico in both Spanish and English languages, with an ensemble cast of acclaimed Latin American talent toplining the independent film, such as Demian Bichir (Soderbergh's CHE 1 and 2, Showtime's WEEDS), Laura Harring (Muholland Drive, Love in the time of Cholera), Jacob Vargas Vargas (Traffic, Jarhead, Bobby), Julio Cedillo (The three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, The Alamo), Carlos Bardem, and Flora Martinez. The dual-language project focuses on a Mexican immigrant to the USA who has risen to success; he returns home to Mexico to help his brother, where he is met with a wave of class jealousy and greed, leaving his entire family struggling in a desperate situation; BITTER GRAPES speaks to the inequities between immigrants to the 1st world and their families and friends back home in the 3rd world.
Repertorium Films larger-scale independent feature project NARCOTICUS is next on the slate – the film already has a large European Equity fund interested in co-producing and financing the intelligent, topical, mid-budget feature. NARCOTICUS focuses on a sweeping look at narcotics dependency in the USA, highlighting stories of both illegal and legal drugs and the effects that dependency can have on personal lives and on American society as a whole. Repertorium is currently in the process of attaching name talent to NARCOTICUS, such as the talented Elizabeth Pena, who is already cast as Denise in the film.
Repertorium Films’ upcoming dramatic mother-daughter feature film project MAY-MAY is already garnering early interest from top talent’s representatives; the announcement of a package of talent attachments is expected shortly. The film is slated to shoot in Hawaii after Narcoticus within the next few years.
Owners/ creative partners Leandro and Megan usually write, produce and direct their own material for Repertorium Films; together they write and jointly produce all film projects for the company.
